　　Environmental hazards are often too great for particular countries or individuals to tackle. We have arrived at a point in time where the only way to lessen environmental problems is at an international level.

　　Environmental problems have reached such proportions that people feel international organizations must be set up to intervene in world affairs to resolve these problems. Whether this will resolve the problem is very unlikely as international organizations are just an extension of human behavior. That is, if human conflicts cannot be resolved at home, then they are unlikely to be resolved at the international level. Nevertheless, international organizations do attract attention to the growing problem of aims of the international community to resolve the issue of environmental pollution and support their cause, I do not believe it is the best or only way to protect the environment; in fact, it is only a small part of what is needed in a global initiative.

　　All world problems, whether it is environmental pollution, war, energy insufficiency, or famine, arise from the abusive behavior of all individuals. Therefore, the solution to all these problems is the need for a collective consciousness. What is meant by this is that each individual must be aware of the impact he or she has on the world and their unique part to play in this world. After all, if one is happy with his life, he will surely not endeavor to harm the environment or anyone else. His behavior will be that of a responsible individual.

　　What is needed, therefore, is education. Education is the key to all problems and it starts from pregnancy all the way to adulthood and beyond. Furthermore, education means that children all over the world should be allowed to go to schools with good teachers and where teaching materials and methods can be adapted to each individual. Education means raising children to be responsible individuals.

　　This may sound like utopia, but it is not: if a country had important problems in its educational system, then it should realize that it is contributing to the worlds problems. These are perhaps long term solutions, but they are more realistic solutions than setting up yet another international organization.

Today, in the metropolises in different countries, it is very common to see teenagers wearing NIKE T-shirts and Adidas footwear, playing Hip-Hop music on Apple iPods and eating at KFC. The culture that took a thousand years to form just seems similar in these cities; it looks like you can only distinguish them by their language. Meanwhile, in some developing countries, sweat workshops are always a concerning issue. For instance, reports show that some teenagers employed by

　　NIKE’s contractors work in smelly factories over 14 hours a day, but are only paid fifty cents per hour.

　　In summary, I would concede that globalization does come with some adverse effects. Despite that fact, benefits created by it far outweigh the disadvantages. Overall, I am convinced that we should further promote globalization and meanwhile the local government should take measures to combat cultural assimilation and sweat workshops.

　　刘羽告诉记者，她在初中三年学习过英语，但进入高中阶段，她打算前往日本留学，就选择了放弃英语，全身心投入到日语学习。2003年3月，在完成高三年级上学期的学习后，她报考了树德中学国际部GAC预科班，打算毕业后到澳大利亚或英国留学。

　　入学时，老师发现刘羽的英语水平很低，甚至连一些基础知识也没有掌握，而前往上述国家留学雅思成绩是必要的前提，于是只能让她试学一个月。

　　体会1

　　以前我学日语，发音节奏快且没有升降调，英语发音圆润，说惯了日语，一旦开口讲英语，我就老感觉自己发音不准，渐渐地更不敢开口。为了克服这一心理障碍，我选择了她主动开口说英语。事实证明，这一招非常有效，不仅迅速提高了自己的口语水平，还锻炼了我的勇敢和毅力。

　　在国外大学里，和老师的频繁交流、讨论课题是必不可少的。中国学生常常是因为语言的困难和心理的害羞而害怕和老师进行交流。其实国外的老师会定时在课后接受提问。答疑时间一般为一周3到5个小时，学生在提问前可通过电子邮件与老师预约或和老师商量延长答疑时间。

　　首先是听力部分，听力B段课程给了我很多细节方面的帮忙，C段课程则给了我一个宏观方向解题的方法。在课程过程中，Demi老师每节课的听写是帮忙学生找出自己词汇方面漏洞的最好时机。所有的错词要记录并且反复听写。

　　推荐使用“雅思王听力”中名词的听写部分还有Sophie老师给与的7分机经单词，我在考前将它们刷了三遍，这就给予了自己必须的拼写基础和听力所需要的感觉。

　　然后，听力最重要的是多听多练习，当自己遇到错误点，听不出的点能够反复精听再复述。Sophie老师是让我们做听写练习，我认为基础比较好的同学能够直接听写文本中最困难的部分，不用每句话都听写下来。我感觉在B段升C段的过程中，我的听力是有质的进步的。

　　第二是阅读部分，阅读其实重要的是解题方法，遇到不同的题型都要采用不同的解决思路和解题顺序，这些老师课堂上都会详细地提及。

　　再次就是多练习，在做题中积累生词和替换词。当题目做多了，一个人能够很好的明白自己的阅读水平大概是多少分。然后再透过了解自己的水平和知识缺漏点，寻找相应的解决办法。我在做完每一篇阅读之后，都会精读全文，用荧光笔标注生词，方便二次复习。但是，我很容易阅读钻牛角尖，所以有一样问题的同学能够尽量将阅读题目与文章进行详细比较，选取最贴近文章的答案，不要过度思考，也不要凭感觉做题。

　　我的阅读从一开始备考雅思到最终结束复习一向都稳定在7分，不高也不低，所以我觉得阅读考试是一个真正考出水平的考试，很难在短时间内有很大的提升，所以平时一年一年的积累是十分重要的。我个人很不喜欢看新闻所以也不爱听英文广播，和我一样的同学能够多看美剧给自己营造语言环境，从看美剧中也能够丰富口语的谈资的。

　　第三是写作部分，对我而言这是最困难的一个部分了，而且我的写作分数不高，我在平时的练习中水平也一向只写在6分。在这个模块我会写的相对较少一些。写作光靠自己是很难进步的，如果能够大家还是尽量买书或者上课。在我看来，雅思写作有两个重要点：一是背诵替换词、二是句型多样化。

　　第四是口语部分，在课上老师会带给思路，也会让同学们进行试讲，大家必须要利用好上课的时间，积累素材和好词好句并且勇敢地表达自己。在课下有空就能够写题卡，我是最后半个月才开始写题卡，所以每一天花费很多时间在口语上，如果在一开始备考就开始好好准备题卡，我相信在后面的学习中会更简单一些。

　　我在考前是准备好了所有part1和part2还有一半的part3。这个准备并不是完全的每句话的背诵，而是记忆该讲的点，和能够用上的好词。口语可能是存在压分现象的，但是我觉得只要好好准备，它并不会影响你整体的成绩。并且还是看个人的积累，因为在part3你不明白自己会被问到什么问题，你的整体回答会不会有一些文化差异让考官听得不明白。所以平时的练习和题卡的书写必不可少，争取在part1和part2就给考官留下一个好印象。

　　最后想提的是，很感谢新航道的老师们和助教们，他们都在我备考期间给了我很多帮忙和鼓励，老师私下安慰鼓励的话，都让我更放松并且有自信地应对考试。

　　但是只上课并不足够，关键还是要靠自己课下的努力，而且雅思是一个考出水平的考试，不可能在一夜之间就从5分学到7分，所以不要急于求成，课下遇到的问题能够多和老师交流。还有，我在备考期间的用书除了剑桥4-12，也刷完了9分达人听力4，和9分达人阅读2和3。但不要为了背答案而去刷题，更主要的是自己对照所带给的中英文对文章有一个透彻的理解。

　　1. 地点选择

　　2. 报名月份

　　日期之前看过一些同学在问报考某月某天的考试是否好之类的，我想说“现在都21世纪了，还有人相信这些?费解!”考试的具体时间，要根据自己的备考情况，自己申请学校的情况而定的。有些人在一次考试挂了之后立马报下一场，这是不明智的，最起码也隔一个月吧，总结一下上次的原因，一个月对于备考来说真的很短，可能你的作文还没写到几篇，话题还没练到一半下一次考试就来了。其实A/G在一起考和单独A的考试差别是不大的，从小老师不就教育我们啥来着：真金不怕火炼。

　　3. 备考

　　我根据考试的4个评分标准，流利度，发音，语法，词汇量来简单说一下：个人觉得前面三点是最需要注意的，词汇量是靠平时积累，我就不多说了。

　　流利度：流利度的提高最主要就是靠艰苦的练习，也许最初你觉得自己在那说很傻很二，但是为了雅思必须强迫自己开口说，同时流利度的提高也有点小诀窍，就是在自己思考下一句怎么说的时候，可以用一些衔接词，我之前听我同学的一个视频，发现他的连接词非常贫乏，一段对话下来，基本上听的都是 “well”“you know”之类的。我听一个老师说过“you know”“of course”这类短语考试时都不应该说。其实可以适当加一些其他的短语用来拖延时间，例如“as far as I am concerned”“in my opinion”等。

　　发音：对于很多人来说是相当困难的，因为从我们接触英语(论坛)的时候，老师对我们的发音就不是很重视，所以直到大学，说出来的英语都是一口的chin-glish，对于发音这个问题，多听听BBC，VOA，像一些比较绕口的单词，反复说，说自然为止。还有语音的问题，很多同学都去模仿一些自己喜欢的美剧人物发音，我觉得也不错，我曾经试过去模仿老友上Ross Geller的发音，但后来还是相差太远最终放弃。其实说的清楚明白就好了，英音美音都没多少加分。学的四不像就更丢人了。

　　最终能取得这样的成绩我已经很满意了，毕竟所有奋斗过英语的朋友们都一定深有感触。Second language acquisition is a lengthy and exhausting process.外语的学习离不开一个说外语的环境，而在自己的祖国学习另一国家的语言所缺的正是这种氛围，所以需要我们自己来营造。我的英语基础不是特别好，勉强通过了大学四六级考试，在进入苏州新东方学习之前对IELTS考试知之甚少，听力老师高超、阅读老师曹亮、写作老师孙进、口语老师杨丽给了我莫大的帮助，他们都是苏州新东方响当当的人物，俗话说师傅领进门，修行靠个人，感谢他们对我的培养。下面我想谈一下我的心得体会。

　　首先，我在苏州新东方报了一个保6争8班，小班上课，这有利于同学之间的相互交流以及师生之间的互动，所以每节课的课堂气氛都非常活跃。在轻松的学习氛围下，在逐渐熟悉了雅思考试的特点和规律的同时，我们从老师那学到了一套学习英文的方法，实践证明我们只需一步一脚印得踏踏实实的沿着老师指点的道路走下去，取得6分是没有问题的，当然，取得高分离不开自己的努力。

　　口语

　　我的雅思口语没有达到7分，听说读写中，我觉得口语是最难练的，刚开始，我是在自己学校的英语角和别人进行漫无目的的对话，几天后发现这样没什么大用处，对话永远停留在小学生、初中生级别的对话上。于是，我在针对性地准备好口语卡片题和话题的前提下，再去英语角和别人——最好是外教进行对话，并把topic扯到和雅思口语题相关的方面进行交流，这样对雅思考试会有较大的帮助。另外，在业余时间注意积累是很有必要的，在我们学习得精疲力竭的时候，不妨看看英美电影，最好是中英文字幕的，在放松的同时注意地道的口语表达，例如《老人与海》(The Old Man and the Sea)里有这样一段对白：A: How much did you suffer B: Plenty. 这里在问老人的感受如何，翻译成‘很多’显然并不恰当，Plenty在这里应该翻译成’一言难尽’，所以地道的翻法是‘真是一言难尽啊’。如果在平时能积累这样的点滴，在考试时下意识地展示给考官，一定会让考官眼前一亮。

　　阅读

　　阅读是我最拿手的科目，在雅思考试中我拿到了8.5分，有偶然也有必然，我的雅思阅读经验是这些离不开我的厚词汇功底。雅思的阅读无非是测试你两方面的能力：快速搜索信息和单词的同义替换。快速搜索要求阅读速度要快，而且是要带着问题，具体目标去文中检索，而不是漫无目的地浏览，其实也没必要看懂全文。另一方面就是要提高自己的词汇量，有了词汇量作基础，速度才能起来嘛，而且在积累的时候一定要特别注意题目和原文之间的同义改写，外国人耍花招的地方就在这里，呵呵，看透了这点，阅读拿个高分应该不难。

　　听力

　　我能拿到雅思听力7分的心得是，识别“路标词”以及听写是取得好成绩的保障。在准备时期，如果时间充裕的话，剑桥3-7的section3和4最好要听写一遍。我知道很多人不看好听写，认为费时费力，但是我还还强烈推荐的原因是，雅思考试听力的录音总是那几个人，所以听写多了，对他们的口音也就自然而然熟悉了。另外，听写对于避免拼写错误和漏掉's之类的小错误也特别有效。听写的具体方法是：先听一整句话，听懂，然后写，能写多少写多少，实在写不下来一整句，分段写，慢慢得就可以写下一整句话了。

　　写作

　　至于写作，这个算是我花费精力最多的地方了，我的雅思经验是，小作文都有其套路，而大作文需要练习和真正的英文功底。《雅思写作套路剖析与范例大全》给了我极大的帮助，深信只要仔细研读书中的范文，揣摩行文措辞，再加上自己的实战习作，毕竟自己动手写得越多越有“悟”的感觉。我相信只要严格按照孙老师所讲的去做任何题目都难不倒我们。

　　最后想说，努力就会得到回报，虽然有的时候不能达到目标，但是努力了，接近了，也是一种成功，相信只要心甘情愿得付出，任何人都能把雅思踩在脚下。

　　During the four years in BFSU, I’ve been given the traditional education on both English Literacy and Diplomacy, which cultivated me to view the world in an international perspective.

　　I’ve been foreign teachers’ assistant for about three years and learnt to communicate with them and understand their way to think and act. This experience gives me much deeper understanding of different cultures.

　　I served as volunteers for many events held by the government and other organizations, such as Fortune Globle Forum 2005 and Euro-Asian Conference organized by the Ministry of Communications. Thanks to those experience, I used my knowledge in real foreign affairs and increased my abilities in related aspects.

　　经历了紧张充实的大三整个学年，我们学习了很多的课程知识，在期末考试测试中也交给了自己一份满意的答卷。面对将要来临的大四学年，我们都多自己的人生有了很多不同的打算，也有很多人在这一年，做了有关人生过程之中一些重要的决定。

　　有的同学准备在这一年选择进行研究生考试的学习准备，考取更高的学历，到自己梦想的学府学习接触更加权威的学术氛围，获得自己所学领域更为新鲜的信息。有的同学决定到企业单位进行实习，积累工作以及社会经验，进行职场预热，为将来进入工作岗位打好基础，以便在未来求职过程中使己的简历看起来更加充实而有吸引力。还有一部分同学选择继续留在学校学习，利用好大四一年的时间进行复习，为英语等级考试做准备，或者考取一些专业相关的证书或是其他资格等级证书，也是为了加强自己的能力，在将来的学习生活或者是工作中更加有自身价值和含金量。

　　在经过深思熟虑之后，我选择了在大四学年继续学习，为接下来毕业出国的打算做准备，复习大学英语四级以及雅思考试。也能空余出更充足的时间为毕业论文做准备。同时，复习了英语四级以及雅思，也能为之后出国的交流以及学习做一些铺垫，到时候有了词汇和口语基础，应对起来可以更加游刃有余。

　　下面说说我在大四上半年的学习心得。

　　这段时间我利用起来进行了雅思的学习，前期我选择进行词汇以及听力的自学训练。词汇是语言的基础，这句话是始终不变的真理。经过半个多月的词汇积累，我的词汇量明显提高，随之感觉到的就是阅读与听力没有之前那么吃力，生词的数量减少了，学习英语获得了更多的自信。口语部分，我每天选择一个话题进行训练，积累话题相关资料，以便在之后的口语测试中能够更稳定的发挥。总体上我的学习都是在练习的基础上进行，俗话说的好，时间出真知。选择性的进行了各种考试题型的练习，不仅做到了有的放矢，也让我的学习效率大大提升，在我较为薄弱的口语部分和听力部分有了更多的时间去练习和积累。

　　参加过很多次英语考试，我们都明白，真题是了解一个考试的最直接的途径，真题能够最真实的还原考试的内容，让我们对它有所了解不至于一头雾水。所以，在学习过程之中，我定期练习一份往期的真题，精读分析并记忆难点词汇，总结做每一份真题的感受与收获，这全部都是我学习过程中积累的财富。

　　想做好任何事情都需要有合理的计划，雅思也不例外。我真正用心准备雅思考试是从今年暑假开始，我报名参加了新东方的雅思补习班。这几个月的时间，基本每天早上去上课的路上可以听半小时网上下的BBC新闻。中午和同学一起吃饭的时候我会快速浏览助教发下的单词表和各个老师传的常用词汇，每天看1个part，同时回顾前一天的part。下午利用半个多小时的时间写一篇作文——隔一天写大作文，再过一天写小作文，这样除去一些偶然事件的干扰，每周平均我可以写3-4篇作文。然后复习一天的学习内容。其他时间看看好玩的帖子，有不错的文章就打印出来，在空闲的时间阅读，晚上的时间用来做阅读题和听力练习。阅读会按阅读老师的方法做题，每天完成剑桥雅思上一个test；听力方面，每天坚持完成老师布置的听写作业，基本是2到3篇。

　　在新东方学习，模考同样是很重要的。对于模考，我觉得对于没有考过雅思的人是有帮助的，能够发现自己的问题，即使调整自己的复习策略。我的第1次模考让我认识到：1.听力部分状态波动大， 2.阅读速度需要提高——考场环境下做Passage 3是对我心理素质的极大挑战；3.模考后，针对模考暴露的问题进行了专门的训练。听力大大增加了剑4—7的练习，听写的训练也没有拉下。并注意培养自己集中精力的能力和快速读题的能力。阅读主要是追求在不降低质量的前提下提升速度，争取15-17mins完成一个passage。写作加大了练习的力度，多记些可以用到的topic。当然最重要的还是词汇量，争取掌握老师布置的所有词汇。

　　准备雅思考试是对人意志的考验，至少对英语基础中等以下的人们是这样的。因为想在短期内迅速提升英语能力是几乎不可能的。因此一个好的计划不是完成雅思考试的全部，更需要持之以恒地按照自己的复习计划走下去，并且在这个过程中不断检查学习成果，适时地调整计划，这样才能使你的计划创造价值，所以这个过程之中恒心非常重要。

　　这是一个信息时代，各种各样的资源充斥我们的耳目，用好自己身边的资源可以使你的复习效果事半功倍。

　　1.辅导班

　　一个好的辅导班可以帮助你快速认识雅思考试和掌握一些考试技巧，但是一切能力的提高都得靠自己，老师只是把最好的提高方法教给我。辅导班的另一个好处是会在心理上让我增加战胜雅思考试的信心。

　　2.书籍

　　有关雅思考试的书籍层出不穷，真正称得上经典中的经典的还要算剑桥1-7。能摸透剑桥的这几本书，也基本差不太多了。

　　3.机经

　　机经是把双刃剑。好处在于它可以让你预先知道考试的场景和词汇，做到有所准备。不足之处也很明显，他让你心理上产生一种依赖感，一旦遇到机经之外的题目，心理防线会崩溃，从而影响整个考试的发挥。所以我认为要辩证地使用机经。

　　四.勇气

　　最终导致大家分数各异的因素虽然与每个人的基础有关，但勇气也绝对是关键的因素之一。有一个乐观积极的心态去面对雅思，我相信会逐步提升。

　　五.个性

　　每个人的能力不一样；每个人在听说读写四方面的基础也各有不同；每个人学习特点也不同，一定要自己找出适合自己的学习方法。 经过这一段时间的学习我觉得我慢慢摸索出了适合我的学习方法。

　　以下是我为即将到来的大英四级考试所做准备得到的一些心得，我将我的复习方法总结为一下几条要诀：

　　第一要诀：收听中国国际广播电台的英语广播

　　中国国际广播电台有一小时的英语节目。内容包括国内外新闻，剪报集锦和各类系 列的专题报道。除了英语标准流利的国内播音员担任广播之外，也有向外侨或访客就某一话题而做的录音访问，可以藉此训练或增进英语的听力。我通过这个途径还大大的加强了口语，培养了我的语感。

　　第二要诀：从电视，电影中学习英语

　　我个人非常喜欢看电影电视剧，看英文电视，电影不仅能了解西方人的文化和生活，而且也是学习地道英语和提高英语听力的好机会。选取的影片最好是以现代生活为背景的文艺片或喜剧片。逐渐的我养成不看字幕的习惯，逐渐的就会感觉到提高，我的听力就在轻松的心情下，随着对剧情了解的增多而迅速提高。

　　第三要诀：背诵名人演说词，找机会复诵出来

　　好的演说在用字遣辞上不但求其优美而且特别注重沟通力和说服力，是练习英语表达的最佳教材。我选择自己喜欢的段落或句子来背。妙言嘉句背多了之后，对于说话，写作都会有不少的帮助。

　　第四要诀：听英语时，口中跟着复诵

　　听英语演讲，看英语电视和电影时，一边听，一边复诵。这样既有利于注意力的集中，增进对内容的了解，又可同时模仿发音和语调。做这种练习时，我从较短或较简单的句子开始。练习多了，就养成习惯。另外一 种有益的练习是逐句口译。把听到的句子逐一译成汉语，这对于听力，正确的理解及反应能力也是有效的锻炼。

　　第五要诀：练习朗读，好处多

　　1.锻炼英语的发音，语调与节奏;

　　2.使口腔各发音部位灵活，增进说英语时的流利程度;

　　3.使耳朵增 加听英语的机会，从而提高英语听力;

　　4.充分应用读书四到：眼到，口到，耳到，心到——比默读时更能记住所读的教材。我们也可以说朗读是会话的基本练习， 没有朗读习惯的人是很难学成会话的。

　　第六要诀：为了兴趣而阅读

　　寒窗苦读式的学习方法不 但枯燥无味，而且效果往往不佳。如果是为了兴趣甚至"消遣"而阅读的话，一定会趣味盎然，并能在无形之中进步，不仅能满足自己的爱好，而且又可以提高 英语能力，真是一举两得。

　　经过了几个月的学习，我感觉到了自己英语方面有了很大的进步，口语部分也不再那么可怕。但是，我知道自己还欠缺很多，在接下来的时间我会继续进行准备，争取给自己一份满意的答卷。
